Cub Scout day camps are distinct from other summer camps in that they prepare younger children for overnight camping by building their outdoor skill sets. So while your seven year old may not be ready to head out for a week of camping quite yet, he may be prepared to camp with his pack after a few years of Cub Scout day camp.
Dirt and horsepower — what’s not to love? Scouts and Venturers can learn how to safely drive an all-terrain vehicle at TRC'S ATV programs hosted at Camp Wakpominee. Similar to the personal watercraft programs, the aim of the ATV activities is safety, and teaching Scouts basic operation of the vehicle while respecting the environment.
The Shooting Sports program at Camp Wakpominee is a safe, fun and effective motivator to attract and retain youth and leaders in all Scouting programs and which supports the methods of Scouting. Shooting Sports are among the most popular and safest program activities in camp. We have invested in top-notch equipment for your Scout's safety, advancement and fun.
