Day Camp

Adventure!

Close to home and just as fun! Day Camp is the one of the first steps in the Scouting Outdoor Program. It’s a week of fun, advancement, and adventure all with a theme. Each day’s program is filled with a variety of exciting activities including water activities, archery, BB Gun shooting, nature, crafts, games, and sports all designed to enhance the Scout’s experience.

Your Cubs attend camp with adult leaders recruited from your Pack. There is always some type of family event planned during camp that you may participate in. Of course, you are welcome to attend the entire week of camp with your Scout, or just come and spend a day.

So just what is Cub Scout day camp?

Children in grades first through fourth can participate.
Day camps are not overnight camps. They involve five days of daytime outdoor activities.
Day camps focus on nature, sports, aquatics, and crafts.
Cub Scout day camps are distinct from other summer camps in that they prepare younger children for overnight camping by building their outdoor skill sets. So while your seven year old may not be ready to head out for a week of camping quite yet, he may be prepared to camp with his pack after a few years of Cub Scout day camp.

We know your summers are busy (the days of summer “breaks” are long gone). But if you’re looking to fill a gap in your kids’ summer schedule or you want more background so you can make an informed decision on summer camps for next year, make sure day camp is on your list
