Schedule OA Elections/Visits Today!

It’s time for Troops and Venturing Crews to schedule their annual Order of the Arrow Unit elections or visits! They are being conducted both in-person, or virtually, which ever works best for your unit! The OA is Scouting’s National Honor Society, and has 4 main purposes:

  • Recognize those who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives and through that recognition cause others to conduct themselves in a way that warrants similar recognition.
  • Promote camping, responsible outdoor adventure, and environmental stewardship as essential components of every Scout’s experience, in the unit, year-round, and in summer camp.
  • Develop leaders with the willingness, character, spirit and ability to advance the activities of their units, our Brotherhood, Scouting, and ultimately our nation.
  • Crystallize the Scout habit of helpfulness into a life purpose of leadership in cheerful service to others.

The OA provides awesome experiences and leadership opportunities for our scouts, as well as great service to our camps and communities through service projects! It also helps our units by providing training for Scouts to take back to their home units! Please visit the council’s OA lodge’s website Unit Elections page for more information, including eligibility requirements at! If none of your Scouts are eligible for elections, you can still have the OA visit and give a presentation on who they are and what they do!
